Identified as a target of the Communist Party in the 1950s and 60s, the good people of Shreveport, like those of many American cities, resisted. And despite the gradual implementation of Socialist and Communist ideologies by the federal government, the people of Shreveport and surrounding areas have persevered and prospered.
